October Review - Money Money Money

Another nice big profit to report for October due in no small part to Farhh getting the job done on Saturday at 16-1; worth the wait of 462 days!!
I finish the month showing a profit of +12.42 points to level stakes making October the ninth winning month our of ten in 2011.

Just Like Buses!

You wait and wait and then two horses you put up as beasts to follow run on the same day within minutes of each other.
I put the Godolphin trained colt Farhh in my 'Dirty Dozen' at the start of the season even though the colt had only seen a racetrack once when he won at Newmarket in a nice fashion. By Pivotal out of German middle distance mare Gonbarda I was convinced the colt could have a big race or two in him if he had trained on. Injury has kept him off the track thus far but he returns today in the 3.15 Home Of Racing Handicap at Newmarket. I am on each-way at 16-1.
Straight afterwards up at Wetherby The Charlie Hall Chase is due off at 3.20. Diamond Harry was a jumper I put up as potentially top class last season and even backed him each-way ante-post for the Gold Cup, which he subsequently missed due to injury, after his impressive win in the Hennessy. Winner of ten of his thirteen starts I am still convinced he is a good horse, he runs well fresh, and though this is a tough race he can come out on top this afternoon at a best priced 11-4.
The big race at Ascot is the United House Gold Cup Handicap Chase at 3.40. Some good chasers on show here and I will be having a little each-way nibble on Life Of A Luso at 16-1. The bottom weight has been running well of late and I think he can be there or thereabouts and take full advantage of the big weight difference in his favour against other major players such as Quinz, Muirhead and Bideford Legend.

The race in question is the Win Thousands Of Sports Experiences At bluesq.com Handicap (Class 7) 7.00 at Kempton and the horse to be backed is the front running Carlitos Spirit available at a best priced 10-1.
